Mrs. Morris has been a member of the Social Studies faculty since MSMS opened in 1987. With over 31 years of teaching experience, she has written the course syllabi for Advanced Placement United States History and American Government. She belongs to the National Council for Social Studies and the Mississippi Council for Social Studies. Mrs. Morris received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Mississippi University for Women.

Proud of the extra enrichment programs offered to her students, Mrs. Morris sponsors historical re-enactments, simulations, field trip excursions, mock trial, debates, and elections. These activities include Pilgrimage, Coalition of Independent Activists, Depression Day, Tales from the Crypt, as well as the 20's and 40's Party.

Her family includes three children: Lt. Mori Andrews, Ashley Andrews Hartman, and Cile Andrews Shaw. The most recent addition to her family, her grandbabies Dylan and Tanner were born on March 10, 1999, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson.
